Velez Organization will be providing construction management services for the new construction of the JP Morgan Chase Headquarters. This new global headquarters will house up to 14,000 employees and create 8,000 construction jobs across 40 local unions. It will be New York City’s largest all electric tower with zero operational emissions and exceptional indoor air quality. During the building period this project will contribute $2.6 billion for New York City and $3.6 billion for New York State.
It will offer 2.5 times more outdoor space (than the previous outdated facility) on the ground level of Park and Madison Avenues, featuring wider sidewalks and a large public plaza on Madison Avenue with natural green space and other amenities.
The new building will be 100% powered nu renewable energy from a hydroelectric plant. The firm also recycled, reused or upcycled 97% of the building materials from the demolition – far exceeding the 75% requirement of the leading green building standard.
The headquarters will create a world-class wellness and hospitality experience for employees, clients, and visitor. Achieving this by doubling the amount of outside fresh air, using advanced HVAC filtration, etc.
