The Velez Organization served as part of the Construction Management team supporting infrastructure and research facility upgrades at the SUNY College of Optometry, a 15-story academic and healthcare facility in Manhattan. The project included replacement of existing HVAC systems with a new energy-efficient central chiller and air handlers, air distribution cleaning and balancing, rehabilitation of research floors and vivarium support areas, and upgrades to the building’s primary electrical systems. Work was performed within an active educational and healthcare environment requiring detailed coordination and phased construction planning.
