The Velez Organization served as part of the Construction Management team for the new 102,000 SF Academic Building at SUNY Downstate Medical Center’s School of Public Health. The state-of-the-art facility includes research laboratories, academic spaces, and collaborative learning environments. Velez provided supervision, inspection, MWBE outreach and compliance support, and coordination of MEP activities in partnership with Gilbane and the State University Construction Fund. Work was performed within an active healthcare and educational campus environment requiring detailed coordination and schedule management.
